We watched only the first half of the game because we are currently 3 hours ahead of "home" time and also because we were both beat. But it sounds like it turned out to be quite an exciting game, regardless of which team you were rooting for.
It was for sure more exciting than the game food. Actually, it was ok but it was a lot of people standing in long lines for a lot of food with much confusion about which line to get in. Ronnie ended up with a hamburger and I had chicken nuggets and pizza. We shared a table with a very nice couple we've met since being on this ship - David and Becky. Becky is a college professor from the US; David is from the UK, did his graduate work there in Information Technology and is visually impaired (not just impaired but appears to be totally blind). Interestingly, they met in Japan, have homes in the UK and the States (Missouri) but are contemplating a move back to Japan.
Anyway, we enjoyed visiting with them a bit and after excusing ourselves went to the Terrace Cafe for ice cream and coffee. It was so chaotic and loud in the lounge, we decided to come back to our room, get comfy and watch the game on our room TV.
I managed to shoot a few quick phone shots of some of the food decorations while standing in line.
cheesecake disguised as a football field |
the dessert line (for food?) |
Philadelphia fan minions |
clever watermelon art |
party poopers |
Didn't see art for Chiefs.
ReplyDeleteGood observation! The decorations for them were on the other side of the room.
