Weather wise, so far I'm thinking we chose the perfect time to be in the Cotswolds! We've had absolutely gorgeous weather since we arrived 3 weeks ago tomorrow, with the exception of 2 days or rain or drizzle. The rest of the days have been sunny or combination sunny/overcast. We never leave the apartment without a jacket, no matter what the time of day, and only occasionally do we get warm enough to take them off.

I was already contemplating rolling over and going back to sleep this morning when
Ronnie pulled back the curtains and announced there was a fog
outside. I've decided that almost any time is a good
time to take photos, as long as my camera stays dry. So I crawled
out of bed, threw on some clothes and headed to St Edwards church to photograph its doors. Since I was already out with my camera, I naturally
had to shoot a few more before heading back for my first cup of coffee and breakfast.

Stow Town Centre - beginning to wake up |
Along with sunshine and pleasant temperatures, we've enjoyed the
beautiful flowers that bloom all around the village.
Flowers love the Cotswold summer, and almost every cottage
hosts blooms of varying colors along fences, on the walls or in pots (often
all three).

But in the coming weeks, if we are fortunate, we should be able to witness the glory of Fall here
in the Cotswolds as well! The hollyhocks, roses, fuchsia, foxgloves and other
seasonal color are still beautiful, but the dark green vines on the houses and fences
are beginning to change into a fiery red and a few trees around the village are already dropping their yellow
leaves.
