The other post was getting too long so I'm posting some food carvings and photos of the entertainment separately. I apologize in advance for the terrible lighting. The venue was dark during the entertainment except for the multi-colored lighting that kept changing throughout the show.
The peacocks with their feathers were a "white" white, not dingy as they appear in the photos. I wish you could see these up close - the detail was beyond amazing!
The dancers performed several traditional Vietnamese dances. The different dances have history and meaning, mostly related to their traditions, beliefs and superstitions.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Louise! I do wish the lighting had been better - the photos of the food carvings really don't do them justice!
DeleteBHarberts: the food carvings and the dancing ...spectacular! I can hardly believe it! I hope you get to have some seafood right off the boat while you are there.
ReplyDeleteI have heard that sunrise there is a sight not to be forgotten. I hope you get to see it.
Unfortunately, it rises so early here that we're still sleeping! I'll try to make a point of getting a sunset if possible.
